It has been an exciting first week of the new half term as we have started lots of new learning. In literacy we started our new topic on explanation texts and have been planning and writing our own explanation of how a shirt machine works! We also started our new science and geography enquiries. In science we sorted materials and came up with our own definitions of what solids, liquids and gases are. In geography we began to answer the question ‘why does it rain?’ We set up our experiment outside to measure how much it rains over the next few weeks and we learnt about the water cycle. We have lots of fun and exciting learning to do over the next few weeks. This week, Oliver was chosen for top table as he worked very hard in our maths lesson even though he found it difficult. Mia became our superhero of the week because she is independent, always works hard, makes good choices and can find things out for herself. Well done!
