Well the class has had an enjoyable couple of days. They have found out about new topics, been given jobs helping around school, found out their new places and begun collecting their ‘Good to be Green’ stickers. There were a few initial nerves on Thursday but mainly excitement as the last year of primary had arrived. We have talked about all the things we are looking forward to this year. We also discussed how we all wanted to make the most of our time in Y6.
The question, “When do we get our buddies?” was definitely the most popular one. In two weeks, the whole of Y6 will be given the special job of helping our newest members of the school to settle into life at Unsworth. After spending just a couple of days with the class, I am confident everyone will do a great job!
I have been very pleased how everyone is eager to do well. On Friday, I gave the class a letter sharing a little more about me and my hopes for the year. Everyone then wrote their own response, which has helped me to find out a little more about everyone. A great start Y6 – well done!
