I have been incredibly impressed this week with some of the writing that year 2 have started to produce in their English lessons and across our enquiry curriculum. The children have been learning to craft a story opening which includes a character description. As we have started to look at Traditional Tales, the children focussed on the character of the Big Bad Wolf and I was really pleased with the vocabulary that they generated and how they weaved this into their story opening. During our history lesson the children reflected on what they have found out about Samuel Pepys, who was an eye witness to the Great Fire of London. They came up with some great ideas and observations of what he did.
