At Unsworth we have school uniform that pupils are required to wear. This encourages pupils to be smart, avoids unpleasant comparisons or competition over clothes and ensures that clothing does not detract from school work.
Please can parents and carers ensure all items of clothing or equipment are marked clearly with the child’s name. The wearing of jewellery is not allowed, except for stud type earrings, which should be either removed or taped for PE lessons. We ask that any watches worn are not expensive ones in case they are mislaid and extremes of fashion in hairstyles and colours are not allowed (natural hair colours only).
Our school uniform consists of:
- grey trousers, grey skirt, pinafore, or checked summer dress
- white shirt
- navy jumper (plain or with emblem)
- school tie
- grey, black or white socks, or grey tights
- black shoes
Children should wear their PE kit to school on PE days. The PE kit consists of:
- pale blue t-shirt with logo
- plain black shorts, leggings or joggers
- navy hoody with logo
- trainers for outdoor use
We have recently changed our uniform supplier. Our uniform can now be purchased from PT's School Wear. PT's are a local company with shops in Radcliffe and Bury. Take a look at their website here. If you prefer you can order online via Tru-Uniforms.
School ties and book bags are available to purchase at the school office. Ties are £3.50, book bags £4.
